Dear <USER>
Thank you for helping to participate in the end-user testing for the XYZ project. Testing is a valuable part of building software and we know that your engagement will improve the experience for you and for every other user. The purpose of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is to test the functionality under ‘real world’ conditions to confirm that it meets the needs. UAT is preceded by other internal testing and is an important final step in identifying and resolving any remaining problems or gaps from the user perspective before the software is released into production.
UAT requires a little bit of preparation as we will be providing some light training and some scripts to run through of the most common use cases. You should run through these test cases and report any issues. A little bit of “off-roading” from the script is useful but keep in mind that we need to understand from your perspective on what issues are most important and need to be fixed versus “nice-to-have’s”. Building extensive protections for implausible or uncommon scenarios may not be the best use of time.
We expect the UAT to occur between <date1> and <date2>. Please allocate at least a few hours to testing and providing feedback.
When reporting issues, it is important to identify a few characteristics:
We greatly appreciate your time and willingness in helping us assure that the quality of the functionality will meet your expectations. If you have any questions or would like to discuss please contact <....>
